If you are living with a mental illness and are struggling financially, you can apply for a small grant of £400 or less to help you live independently and improve the quality of your life.
Whether you are just about to be discharged from hospital or are living in the community, Friends of Fulbourn Hospital may be able to help. For example, a grant could cover the cost of new furniture or white goods, training course fees, the cost of attending community activities or to help you clean/de-clutter your home.
Applications for grants should be made using the Application Form and sent via email to the Treasurer of the Friends of Fulbourn Hospital or by post to Treasurer FoFHC c/o 12 Water Street CB4 1PA.
You will need to ask a professional to sponsor your application and complete the form on your behalf – this person can be from Fulbourn Hospital, Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, your GP or from a charity that supports you.
Small grants can usually be approved quickly, often in no more than a week or so.
Fulbourn Hospital is part of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, but the Friends of Fulbourn Hospital is an independent charity. If you’d like to volunteer to help the Friends of Fulbourn Hospital, they would be delighted to hear from you.
Applying for a grant is free, but you can only apply for a grant once every twelve months.
