The Afternoon Social happens monthly in Littleport Village Hall; people come together over a cuppa to chat, play games and have a piece of cake or whatever goodies are on offer. All are welcome and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.

What to Expect
On the fourth Thursday of the month, the main room in the Village Hall becomes a welcoming, buzzing meeting place where you can just turn up for a couple of hours and take a seat at one of the tables set out. Tea or coffee will be served and there is usually something tasty to have with it such a scones, cake or biscuits. Most of the session is spent with people either catching up with friends or getting to know each other but there are also some board games laid out and another activity such as a quiz or raffle may be on offer.

Littleport Village Hall is located on Victoria Street and is obvious from the roadside. The building has an accessibility ramp and toilets for all inside. There is a small carpark although this is often full, but there is on-street parking and a small public carpark nearby. The main room where the social takes place is directly in front of you through the second set of doors as you enter from the street, you can’t miss it. There is no need to book for these sessions and no pressure on timings (although you may miss out on cake if you get there too late!). Kathryn Buck, a community link worker, or one of the volunteers will be happy to help you settle in if it’s your first time attending.
There is a cost of £3 per session which will be collected while you’re there. This covers a hot drink and a bite to eat.
