Connections Cafe at St George’s Littleport

Back to Activities

Connections Cafe is a weekly opportunity to get together with friends or meet new people over a hot drink and a bite to eat. You don't need to book ahead or be a regular at the church to go along - everyone is welcome.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Meeting other members of your community can help with feelings of belonging and security.
  • The coffee mornings offer a chance to chat and make new friends; social connection is important for your wellbeing.
  • Having a destination at a designated time can really help people who may otherwise find leaving their homes a challenge.

‘We’re so lucky to have this in Littleport. I know that I’ll always be made to feel welcome and there will always be a hot drink and something to eat without me having to get it for myself.’

What to Expect

You don’t need to plan ahead to go to Coffee Connections, just go along and you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome. There are hot drinks available to help yourself to and always something to eat, usually biscuits and cake, sometimes the volunteers will put something together for a savoury bite to eat later on.

Sessions are currently held 10:45am – 12:30pm every Tuesday.

More Information

St George’s Church is a beautiful building which you can’t miss on Church Lane. It is fairly central in Littleport and arriving on foot is encouraged. The church doesn’t have it’s own carpark, but there is parking on streets around it. Enter the church grounds under the metal archway and you’ll see the main entrance at the end of the path. Once inside St George’s, in front and to the left is the community room where Coffee Connections is situated. There are toilet facilities (including disabled) accessed from this room.

Littleport Foodbank also operates during Coffee Connections, where you can help yourself to whatever is on offer, this will vary each time. Supplies are displayed on a  table in the same room.
