Haddenham Arts Centre

Back to Activities

Haddenham Arts Centre is a combination of art gallery, working studios and community spaces; in their words 'A cultural hub'. With regular workshops, exhibitions and performances plus a great cafe and sculpture garden on-site, there is something for everyone.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Being in a creative environment and seeing the artwork on display can help cognitive function, trigger creative ideas and bring calm.
  • Workshops and classes bring likeminded people together to learn new skills and improve on existing ones. Learning brings about a sense of achievement and improved morale and confidence.
  • Various events throughout the year pull together the local community, offering a welcoming environment and opportunities for social connection.

‘I took my daughter to a ceramics session in the school holidays – it was great seeing her and the other children getting really stuck in. The session was really well pitched with some expert guidance but plenty of freedom to get creative’

‘We often pop to the cafe at Haddenham Arts and have a browse in the gallery and shop. There’s always someone to chat to and if we’ve time we take our coffees in to the garden which is beautiful’

What to expect?

If you’d just like to have a look around, wander in during opening hours and browse. There is always someone around to help or chat with if you have questions.

Take a look on the Whats On page of their website or pick up one of their leaflets to find out what events and workshops are coming up. You need to book for a lot of the adult offerings because they’re so popular but if you’ve missed out do check back as they often come around again. You’ll be made to feel welcome in a relaxed atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged and abilities matched.
