This session, aimed at people over 55yrs, offers group exercise and sports in a sociable, welcoming environment with support and guidance if wanted.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- Keeping active becomes more and more important as we age; there is evidence that doing so in peer groups helps with motivation and habit-forming.
- Trying a variety of activities helps with cognitive function and gives the opportunity to find something you love doing.
- Social connection is important to us all, offering a host of benefits to our mental wellbeing.

What to Expect
Each session includes the use of gym facilities, badminton and table tennis plus the option to join in with a stretch and tone class or jazz dance on alternating days. The emphasis is on having fun and there is intentionally plenty of time for socialising.
There are currently two sessions a week, lasting two and a half hours each time. Check the Littleport leisure centre timetable for details. The Leisure Centre has plenty of parking, is fully accessible and there is also a cafe on site.
There is a cost per session, it is best to book either online or over the phone.
The fee includes a tea or coffee whilst you’re there.
