What to Expect

The emphasis for Ruth is on reducing waste, and building wellbeing through creativity and community. The resource warehouse is an absolute Aladdin's Cave of materials which is regularly restocked. You'll find fabric, trims, yarns, dressmaking patterns, paint, wallpaper, tiles, costume-making supplies, some small electrical devices like headphones, handheld fans...the list goes on and will vary depending on what has been donated (and saved from landfill). On entering you'll step immediately in to the resource centre.

You can visit any time when the centre is open and take your time browsing the shelves. Take your items to the counter (just inside the front door) and Ruth will assist with your purchase. If there's something in particular you need, have a chat with Ruth and she may be able to help you find it.

More Information

Re-Imagine is situated at the Witchford Recycling Centre. By car, you need to enter the centre and follow the access road all the way around then take a right, at the bottom of the slope, in to the carpark which is signposted. There is plenty of parking immediately in front of the building, the entrance to which has plenty of colourful signage to identify it. By foot or on bike there is a safe path from Ely, just take care crossing at the roundabout to Stirling Way.

Some community groups source arts and craft supplies from Re-Imagine, so if you are a group leader have a chat with Ruth about your needs.

The centre also houses the Social Supermarket which offers a range of foodstuffs at affordable prices and from which members can often take advantage of the 'Fresh for a Fiver' offer. Find about more on their page here.
