Safe Spaces

Back to Support

If you are experiencing domestic abuse it can be difficult to find support or think about your options. That’s why UK SAYS NO MORE have worked with retailers to provide Safe Spaces - places to safely and discreetly reach out to friends and family or contact specialist support.

What is a Safe Space and how do I use it?

UK SAYS NO MORE is working with Boots, Morrisons pharmacies, Superdrug pharmacies, Well pharmacies, independent pharmacies, HSBC and TSB banks across the UK to provide Safe Spaces in their consultation rooms for people experiencing domestic abuse. You can use a safe space in whichever way works for you. They provide a safe and discreet way to reach out to friends and family, and contact specialist support services.

How to access a Safe Space:

  • walk into any participating safe space in the UK;
  • ask a member of staff at the counter to use their safe space;
  • you will be shown to the Safe Space which will be a private room;
  • once inside you can use the safe space in whichever way works for you – to reach out to friends and family, contact specialist support services and start your journey to recovery.

You can see a list of some of the many Safe Spaces in Peterborough on the map – or check their website location finder too as they are being added to all the time.

Safe Spaces don’t offer support or crisis services of any kind, other than a place you can feel safe in. If you need to talk to someone, you can contact any of the organisations listed here.

Use of Safe Spaces is free.
