Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. They provide activities, companionship, advice and support for older people.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- It helps to reduce isolation and loneliness, which can have a negative impact upon health and well-being.
- Making friends increases your support network.
- Taking part in fun activities is a great boost!
Participating in their activities can introduce you to a number of other services that might be of interest or help to you.
“I feel so much safer knowing I have people around me I can ask and trust. When you can’t go out and enjoy a good natter it’s really nice to have someone come to me.”
“I lost my wife some years ago now, I really thought that was it for me, I gave up. My son phoned the centre to arrange for me to come for a visit and I really enjoyed it, there’s lots to do; crafts, games and I love the quizzes.”
Centres and clubs are in many locations across East Cambridgeshire. Please contact them or visit their website.
