Community Hubs and Village Agents

Community Hubs

At the heart of local communities, Community Hubs are friendly and inclusive places to help you connect with others.

Community Hubs offer somewhere to socialise, light refreshments and you can often access information on how to reduce bills, find out about additional financial support as well as how to stay healthy and well. Most also offer free wifi so you can work or study there. Activities and services at Community Hubs are run by trained local volunteers. If you use Facebook it's worth looking for your local hub on there to find out about any special sessions or occasional changes to opening times

All Hubs are accessible for those with mobility issues. Anyone of any age, background or circumstances can go to a Community Hub. You can visit as many times as you like and stay for as long as the Hub is open, or head off anytime.

No need to book, just turn up.

Village Agents

Village Agents provide help, support and solutions for the health and social care needs of rural residents by connecting and signposting people with the services that might make their lives easier and better. Village Agents will have a regular presence in Community Hubs but will also attend other groups, activities and events to get to know local people. Public Libraries

Libraries are free, safe and welcoming spaces you can spend time in. They don’t all have the facilities to provide refreshments but they offer similar activities and support to those found at Community Hubs.
